Certificates
A Certificate of Completion is issues to every student who successfully completes a course as determined by the course instructor.
An undergraduate specialty certificate in Clean energy Smart Grid Engineering will be issued for completion of the following courses*.
U1 Power engineering fundamentals I
U2 Power engineering fundamentals II
U3 Renewable energy generation
U4 Power electronics for the smart grid
U5 Digital systems for the smart grid
U6 Smart grid protection and control
(*) Courses U1 and U2 are prerequisites for the other 4 courses. If they have been completed at another institution, they need not be completed as part of this program in order to earn this certificate.
Graduate specialty certificates will be issued for the following:

G1 Renewable energy systems
G2 Cleaning traditional energy systems
G3 Integration of new energy sources
Smart Grid Technologies certificate
G4 Power transmission system electromagnetics
G5 Digital protection systems
G6 Substation and distribution automation
G7 Smart grid power electronics
Smart Grid Planning and Operation certificate (three of the following five courses)
G8 Electric energy economics
G9 Smart grid planning
G10 Generation resource scheduling
G11 Smart grid system monitoring and operation
G12 Smart grid protection and control
